-Happy (Offical) Halloween From Mark+Blog Update!-

05I know, it’s on a Monday, boo! No pun intended. And with this 31st of October, I just wanted to say happy Halloween! So happy Halloween! And if you’re not into Halloween, I understand. Have a good Fall. No bad pun intended.

Besides Halloween, I want to explain what I’m currently going through when it comes to my blog. Sadly, it seems that I’m starting from the beginning all over again. And what do I mean, “beginning all over again”? It basically means I had no viewers for the past week because of the change of my website name. And because of that change, that means I no longer have my blog posts linked to the google search engine (when someone searches for let us say, “Anime”, my blog would have my website linked to their search engine, but since I have a new website, that link no longer works).

And so, what am I going to do with this problem that I dug myself into? Well, that just means I’m going to continue on blogging, and hopefully gain my viewers back again! Of course, the amount views that I receive doesn’t really matter, but if no one is reading it, then what’s the point in writing, right? Even if I only have 1 view per day, I’d be happy to know that at least someone is appreciating or at least reading what I write. Thank you for always sticking around my blog to you my followers, and I hope you enjoy my blog posts. And if you’re new to my blog, hello, it’s nice to meet you! As of today, I still want to write Anime and Manga related blog posts, so please look forward to those posts! And not to mention, in my future blog posts, I want to write more real life posts! (if you even like them, but I’ll still write them). But knowing me, I might forget all about it, so don’t always get your hopes on that! (If you’re new to my blog, I’m basically a disoriented blogger, and no, It’s not on purpose).

Speaking of forgetting things, I need to finish my 30 Anime Challange posts! (Sorry). And also talking about real life, I got to meet a Japanese foreign exchange student. Let’s just say, it was pretty interesting to have a conversation with let’s say, three dudes (who were my friends, and two of them currently learning and knowing some Japanese, including me), and the foreign exchange student knowing some English as well. For example, some of the conversations we had were, what were his thoughts on creepy clowns in America and what was his favorite food (some of the other questions that we asked him made me crack up, and I was happy knowing that he was understanding most of the jokeful questions we had to ask him).

So then, have a happy Halloween or Fall! See you guys later, peace!

-Blog Update, Mark’s Blog- – (Update)-

It’s another photo of me!

Hello, if your unfamilar with my name, do not fret, it’s just me, Mark’s blog! I decided to change my blogs website name to DayInTheLifeOfMark.wordpress.com instead of 0205marky.wordpress.com (as this was my 8th grade website name, and it was about time to move onto a new blog name), and instead of the Anime character Kaneki (Tokyo Ghoul), you now have a photo of me! (Which is on the left part of the photo).

And if you also didn’t notice, I did change my websites theme (one of the wordpress themes), and I decided to change some of the features around my blog like adding who I follow, etc and etc.

What do you guys think of the changes? Is there anything else you would like to like to see be changed? But anyways, I did talk about changing some parts of my blog, and these were some of it.

So anyways, hope you enjoy the minor changes, so see you guys later, peace!

-I’m Hyped For Kindom Heart’s HD 2.8 Remix Trailer – -(VideoGames)-

kingdom_hearts_hd_2-8_final_chapter_prologue_logo_khhdfcpThe graphics for this game, the amazing recreated game and new upcoming games for the Kingdom Heart HD 2.8 Final Chapter, is just so perfect!

If you’ve seen the most recent KH HD 2.8 trailer, you should know that Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep 0.2, Kingdom Hearts will be released on January 12th, 2017! And it’s been 4 years since the last Kingdom Hearts titled game (Dream Drop Distance) was released, and now we finally get another title, KH 2.8 Final Chapter, and another thing to to be hyped for, KH 3 (but I’ll mainly be writing about KH2.8).

maxresdefault-3Anyways, KH2.8 Final Chapter; by the looks of the trailer, Dream Drop Distance will be included, the story of the foretellers (KH X Back Cover), and the ongoing story of Aqua (KH 0.2 Birth By Sleep), will all be included in KH 2.8! My main interests so far with KH2.8, is the KH X Back Cover and KH 0.2 Birth By Sleep. As you have the foreteller and the 7 keyblade masters that eventually start the keyblade war (as referenced from Zehanort from previous titles) and how it all began, and then you have Aqua, who ventures to save Ventus and possibly look for Terra while she’s in the realm of darkness.

(Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue Trailer)

And so, with this trailer, I’m pretty excited for the KH HD 2.8 to come out! What’re your opinions on the trailer? Was the graphics great? Will the story be exciting!? Are you hyped!? Comment down bellow, and give me your own opinion!

So with a further ado, the end of my blog post. See you guys later, peace!

-Already Stunned By 5 Chapters Of Koe No Katachi/A Silent Voice- -(Manga)-

Koeno1The regret of a boys past, where to the point of suicide for his own selfish needs later on in life, but changes his thoughts for his own scheduled death after apologizing to the girl 5 years later for bullying her for her deafness. As he knows the “voice” of the girl he bullied 5 years ago as a child and now asks for apology within her “voice”; using sign language. As he later on signs to her, “can we be friends?” In just 5 chapters, Koe No Katachi was already a masterpiece.

I finally found a source to read Koe No Katachi, and after reading around 5 chapters (probably more), I didn’t realize how deep the story was until chapter one and up. I’d highly suggest reading Koe No Katachi if you’re into the more serious and story filled slice of life Mangas, compared to other Animes/Mangas that are slice of life and comedic like Toradora and Tonari No Kaibutsu-Kun, Koe No Katachi is way different from those kinds of Animes/Mangas. And no, the story is not only unique friendskoenoatakibecause of it having a physically disabled deaf main character, but because of the way the main character Ishida lives his life and how he drastically changes his fate after doing the various things he does in his past and present life. And not to mention, the various amounts of characters that are quite unique, compared to them being a cliche like character, like being the average bully whom you don’t care about later on in the story. Example; the main protagonist winning a girls heart by beating up bullies, as the bullies now having absolutely no character development to show the reasoning for bullying the protagonist. (Mini Spoilers) But Koe No Katachi is more like, Ishida is the main
protagonist,  his life is flawed and his actions aren’t the best in the beginning of the story. And when Ishida becomes the predator towards people, he soon becomes the one being targeted. And so, this shapes his life later on to what he’s doing now. (No spoilers), so I’d highly recommend reading Koe No Katachi, as it’s definitely a book to read around your teen years-adult hood. And I highly recommend reading this book if you experience loneliness, social problems, are interested in realistic stories, and have some sort of physical or mental disability. I guarantee you’ll enjoy reading this series.

koe-no-katachi(There will be spoilers beyond this point), so, what are my thoughts on Koe No Katachi/A Silent Voice so far? Even though I’m on the 8th chapter of the Manga, it made me want to binge read it all before going to sleep, but with the time constraints I had, and me needing to wake up for the next day of school, I was really disappointed that I couldn’t finish the chapter I was on. And if I’m not mistaken, Ishida wanted to kill himself after all of his hard work at his job to pay off a debt to her sick mother, and right after his apology to Shōko, but still being alive after meeting Shōko. And then I stopped when Ishida was talking to Shōko on the topic of still being able to meet each other despite their past. And I just kept on wondering what was going to happen to Ishida and Shōko in the next chapter, until I went to sleep. My final thoughts; I felt deeply in love with the story and I still continue to fantasize the thought on what kinds challenges the main characters have to face. It placed a smile onto my face, and ever so rarely have I ever been interested in any story ever, instead of just critiquing it in a poker face, and Koe No Katachi definitely had me wanting more, but with my somewhat busy lifestyle, I had to be patient to continue on reading this amazing manga. But I can wait forever if I have to, to actually read it; because a masterpiece comes once in a lifetime.

koenokatachixpeopleSome things I enjoyed about Koe No Katachi; the art style is realistic in a manga aspect (real life buildings, not fantasy like buildings), it’s not a cartoony look, and it’s definitely not an overly top drawn manga, and I came to appreciate that aspect of the Manga. And not to mention, the “X” that’s placed on people’s faces in the vision of Ishida, as it signifies people that he hates or dislikes, and I liked the creativity of that idea. As an “X” only disappears when Ishida gives a person a chance to redeem their selves or becomes “friends” with him.

When it comes to the main characters, most of the time they have a story that signifies who they are, and how it affects them in the future. As this is mainly shown from Ishida and Shōko. And with Ishida being a bullying from 6th grade, to now an emotionally and socially disoriented high school student who now knows what was right and wrong within his past, now wants to make things better again. Then you have Shōko, the girl that was bullied harshly from Ishida in the 6th grade, but despite this happening, still smiling in front of Ishida and making up with him. Little things like learning about the characters and their backstory create a bigger meaning on why they did certain actions in the future. Or that’s how I like to think about stories, but either way, I still find character development as one of my most favorite parts of this story.

And lastly, my overall favorite thing bout the Manga is, the relationship between Ishida and Shōko. And I think you get the point on why I would say this (and no, it’s not because I ship them).

(I just finished reading Koe No Katachi); the ending of Koe No Katachi and the story in general just made me want to cry with excitement. But maybe I’ll talk about my overall thoughts on Koe No Katachi (full on spoilers edition), in a different blog post. And I finished all 62 chapters of Koe No Katachi in 2 days. I don’t feel ashamed for reading the whole story, I just feel satisfied.

I guess that ends my blog post for today, as I can not think up with any other things to talk about Koe No Katachi (also because I don’t want to spoil the Manga for you). So anyways, a cliche goodbye to an awesome post about an awesome Manga, peace!

(Here’s some videos to watch)

(Koe No Katachi Opening)

-Koe No Katachi Trailer- – (Anime/Short Post)-

If you only came for the trailer, it’s down below, and you do not know Koe No Katachi, I 100% recommend reading the Manga! But, I didn’t know that Koe No Katachi released an Animated movie trailer! Boys and girls, am I not just late to the party!?

Koeno1Although I have not read the Manga, Koe No Katachi entirely (read only the first chapter and stopped, because there were like 3-5 separate Manga’s, and I got confused and quit reading it entirely), I’m still hyped to watch the movie after seeing this awesome trailer! And now I’m debating whether or not the read the Manga first, or watch the Movie! Because you have the hype coming from the movie, but then you have the whole story ahead of you in the Manga! It’s one or the other, or maybe even both.

My thoughts on the movie trailer of Koe No Katachi; by the looks and sounds of the movie, they have some pretty awesome voice actors (the screaming, and the crying noises; it just pierces straight to my heart), and not to mention probably one of the best opening songs, and have nothing too extreme or too low quality drawn animation, but definitely the most fitting animation that fits the looks of the characters. What do you guys think about my statement?

(Koe No Katachi Op)

I’m just so hyped for this awesome movie! So anyways, see you guys later, peace!

(I just found out that they actually released the movie! YES!)

-The Versatile Blogger Award- – (Nomination)-

versatile-awardI haven’t done one of these in so long! But I would just like to thank, Mat-In-The-Hat, for the nomination, and now let’s get into 7 things that are about me.

Rules

  • Show the award on your blog
  • Thank the person/people who nominated you
  • Share 7 things about yourself
  • Nominate 10 blogs

Without a further ado, 7 things about me;

  1. I’m 16 years old, and I’m a high school student currently in my sophomore year.
  2. If you don’t know, I like to watch Japanese animation (Anime), Japanese comics (Manga) and play video games. Pretty much the stereotypical Otaku, but I also like to play sports such as Tennis, Basketball, and Soccer/Football.
  3. My nationality is Hmong, and many people may not know our existence because of our race immigrating from Laos to the U.S during the Vietnam War (The Secret War). Also, I don’t know how to speak my own language, and I’m pretty much here in America all Americanized, if that’s what you would like to call it. Pretty much Hmong American.
  4. I’m taller than my siblings (younger sister, and older brother), but I don’t play sports. And they play sports. And this is pretty much an inside joke between me, my siblings, and my parents. (I do play sports, and I’m fairly decent in most sports, but I don’t play in clubs or participate in school sports).
  5. Sometimes I like to do photography because I enjoy looking in different kinds of perspectives, such as laying down and looking up into the trees or even see the flowers slightly pushed from the wind. It’s pretty much my creative side. I’m also taking a photography class as well.
  6. Although photographer is my hobby, I don’t want to presume in it as my occupation, as it’s more of a side hobby rather than a serious hobby of mine. But, I want to own a business/be a franchise owner in the future (A franchise is when a business gives you the rights to sell their products, but in return, you must give them a portion of your earnings. And you usually make a quota amount of money to continue on being a part of the franchise. If you still don’t know what a franchise is; you can buy your own McDonald’s restaurant and stuff like that. But there are some other franchises where they’re called private franchises, where the person who created the franchise, owns all the stores all by themselves). And I want to presume in a bachelor’s degree in some sorts of business.
  7. Seven is my favorite number.

Thanks again to Matt-In-The-Hat for nominating me, so now a further ado, it’s my turn to nominate 10 blogs. Well, not 10 blogs to be exact, maybe a little less than 10 blogs.

  1. CutiesEyeElysium/TheFanGirl/BooperDooper
  2.  TheDragon
  3.  ALotOfBees
  4.  TheOtherSide

See you guys later once again, and peace!

The Overly Sophisticated Japanese Animation Story; The Garden Of Words- – (Movie/Japanese Animation)-

itunes_gardenofwordsMy first thoughts initially were, a romance, and a story of the progression of two lovers, but I guessed wrong. Apparently, it was way more than that; something more sophisticated than just some love story.

“A faint clap of thunder Clouded skies,
Perhaps rain comes
Will you stay here with me?”
Yukari Yukino:, The Garden of Words
If you ever read my latest blog post, I’ve been thinking about watching this Animated movie, but not knowing what it was about. This movie has always been in my interests, and I watched it as soon as I had the time too! And so, here I am with a post about this wonderful movie!

So what is, The Garden of Words? The Garden of Words is a Japanese animated CGI movie, that takes the perspective of a 15-year-old high school boy named Takao Akizuki, a want to be shoemaker, who always comes late to school on rainy days, and frequently visits a garden for inspiration for shoemaking. Eventually, Takao Akizuki notices a young but older lady sitting in his spot of inspiration, as the rain falls down. And the same experience happens again until it becomes a frequent occurrence; now a rendezvous when the rain falls. And the story continues on.

(Spoilers are beyond this point), what I like so much about The Garden of Words; although the story progresses quite slow in the beginning, I just can’t stop to think about how the animation looks so great and realistic looking, especially when it comes to different kinds of perspectives, and not wide open views (if that made any sense). It’s definitely one of the best quality animated movies in my own opinion, and when compared to other CGI movies like 5 Centimeters Per Second (which was also created by the same person that created The Garden Of Words), and CGI animes like Fate/Stay Night, The Garden of Words is just something special. And going back onto different kinds of perspectives, I just adored on how creative they were, as they mostly had an ants eye of view, and as well as the human eye of view.
(Examples)
Now regarding the story, I thought this movie was going to be somewhat of a love story but, like I’ve said before, it’s definitely not a love story (kinda?). The movie ideally was realistic but somewhat poetic (literally, and metaphorically), and this is what made it sophisticated. The main parts of the movie that had me puzzled and made it complicated for me were, the quote that Yukari Yukino said and the part where Takao Akizuki responds back to her quote later on in the movie but mistaking what she actually meant. And although Akizuki had big ambitions for being a shoemaker, Yukari was actually putting him down in a metaphoric and verbal way, as Yukari acknowledges Akizuki for being another student, and Akizuki starting to realize what Yukari actually thinks about him. Extremely complicated! And not until the end of the movie that Akizuki says what Yukari actually thinks about him, for me to understand the true context of the poem that Yukari talked about. I’m finished with telling my thoughts on the story (because it’s already confusing as it is).
I truly enjoyed watching this movie, and I can’t think of any other words that would describe such a great animated movie like the Garden of Words. This movie was definitely a great refresher on what a good and noncliche animated movie or any Anime for that matter should look like. And before I go, I’d just like to thank my older brother for buying me a physical copy of the movie, The Garden of Words, and 5 Centimeters per Second. I also enjoyed watching the movie 5 Centimeters per Second together with me, my brother, and my sister. As my sister never watches Anime, and hearing from her that it was a good movie, made me feel accomplished as an Anime watcher.
So anyways guys, I enjoyed making this blog post, and it literally took me 2 weeks to make it. So hope you guys enjoyed my post; see you guys later, peace!
(Also, thanks to Matt-In-The-Hat for nominating me for the versatile award. I’ll surely be writing more of my own thanks to him in my versatile award when I have the time to write one).
